Usain Bolt's coach has confirmed that the double Olympic and world sprint champion will not be competing at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in October, according to the Caribbean.
The Jamaican, who also missed the 2006 Games through injury, will be absent from this year's event in India to enable him to continue his build-up for the London 2012 Olympics.
Glen Mills said: ‘Bolt made it known long ago that he is not going to the Commonwealth Games.’
The world's fastest man at 100 and 200 metres will also miss out on next weekend's Jamaica National Championships - although his coach insists it has nothing to do with a recent Achilles problem.
‘He was never down to run at trials,’ Mills added on www.trackalerts.com.
