Eileen O’Keeffe was unable to secure a place in Saturday’s Hammer final after today’s qualification round at the World Championships in Berlin.
The Kilkenny City Harriers athlete had a throw of 63.20 metres with her first attempt but was unable to register a score on her next two throws.
O’Keeffe, who came sixth at the last World Championships in 2007, has been dogged by injury problems stemming from a knee injury sustained before the Beijing Olympics.
