Naumov claims Dublin Marathon title

Ukranian Andriy Naumov has won the Adidas Dublin Marathon in a time of 2 hours 11 minutes and 6 seconds.

Thomas Omwenga of Kenya was second in a time of 2 hours 12 minutes and 28 seconds.

Thomas Abyu of Britain in third in a time of 2 hours 13 minutes and 5 seconds.

Michael O'Connor was the first Irish man to finish and it is now 16 years since we had an Irish winner.

The race attracted 11,700 runners to Fitzwilliam Square this morning.

The women's race was won by Russia Larrisa Zousko in 2 hours 29 minutes and 55 seconds.

The wheelchair race was won by Armagh's Paul Hannan in 2 hours 22 minutes and 33 seconds.
