Sporting Fingal 2-3 Athlone Town

Athlone Town concluded their season with their first away victory since May by beating Sporting Fingal at Morton Stadium.

Stephen Place volleyed home the opener off the post on 19 minutes before Conan Byrne levelled with a header from Daniel Corcoran's cross on the half hour.

But Robbie Benson regained the lead a minute before the interval and Des Hope made it 3-1 on 53 minutes.

Robbie Doyle pulled a goal back 19 minutes from time but received a straight red card in the dying stages.
