O'Shea wins Belgian Grand Prix

Limerick's Paul O'Shea rounded off a very successful weekend for the Irish abroad when he won the Belgian Grand Prix at Lummen.

The 31-year-old rider put a comfortable two seconds between his 10-year-old mount Jor de L'Elnon and the runner-up, Christian Weier from Luxembourg with Carusco.

Ireland's Tholm Keane placed Ronan Tynan's Warrenstown You 2 in ninth place in the Grand Prix tonight, with two fences down in the jump-off.

Irish riders racked up a series of wins and places at a number of
shows in Europe this weekend, including Maubeuge in France, Modena in Italy, and Lummen, Belgium, where the only Grand Prix victory took place.
