Parker still a doubt for Newcastle
Wednesday, 17 January 2007 15:45Newcastle United skipper Scott Parker remains a major doubt for tonight's FA Cup third round replay against Birmingham City with a stomach muscle injury.
The former Chelsea midfielder missed Sunday's 3-2 win at Tottenham Hotspur with the problem, and despite his return to training, is unlikely to be risked, while Emre will once again be sidelined by a calf problem.
Damien Duff, Michael Owen and Charles N'Zogbia (all knee), Shola Ameobi and Olivier Bernard (both hip), Celestine Babayaro and Craig Moore (both hamstring), Titus Bramble (calf) and Stephen Carr (foot) remain on the casualty list.
