Students fight back to take three points

UCD closed out their season with a well-earned 3-1 win against Longford Town at Belfield Park.

Dessie Baker opened the scoring for the visitors on three minutes but the lead was short lived. Pat Kavanagh's long range effort brought ucd level on 14 minutes. The hosts dominated from there on and always looked dangerous.

UCD took the lead after the break when Conor Sammon's shot trickled past four defenders on its way to the Longford net.

The Students made sure of the points when Sammon scored his second with five minutes to go.
