O'Connor's future still uncertain

Kerry manager Jack O'Connor has revealed that he has yet to decide whether or not he will remain as manager of the All-Ireland football champions, as his side returned to a heroes welcome in Tralee.

O'Connor said that his future is still undecided, despite Kerry claiming their second All-Ireland title in three years.

The triumphant Kerry team showed off the Sam Maguire cup at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Dublin this morning.

The players and management arrived in Tralee at 6pm and from there, travelled to Killarney.

Meanwhile, there was no formal homecoming reception tonight  for the Mayo team, at the request of the players.

Provisional plans had been made for a reception at MacHale Park in Castlebar but this will not now take place.

The  chairman of the Mayo football board James Waldon said the  final decision had been left to to the team  and they had decided they did not want a reception on their return.
