Mayo boss dismisses McDonald rumours

Mayo manager Mickey Moran has denied rumours that Ciaran McDonald is an injury worry for Sunday's All-Ireland football final clash with Kerry.

There is intense speculation around Mayo that McDonald picked up a hamstring injury at training on Wednesday night, and they remained persistent throughout today (Thursday).

But Moran said the story was 'nonsense' and added 'there is nothing wrong with him.'

McDonald (31) would be an enormous loss to Mayo if he were to be ruled out, as he has been having an excellent season and holds the ability to greatly trouble Kerry's defence.
