Irish boss taking nothing for granted

Ireland coach Maeve Coleman is not underestimating the task facing her side against Netherlands in the EuroBasket qualifying clash as Ireland look to bounce back from their disappointing opening-day defeat by Norway.

Coleman could not hide her disappointment following the 72-62 reverse in Bergen, but is looking for an instant response against Netherlands in Dublin after spending time on the practice court this week as turnovers, missed free throws and missed defensive boards cost Ireland against Norway.

'It's going to be tricky, and coming off a bad game it's going to be more so,' she told PA Sport.

'If we played well and lost narrowly you could have said OK, but we know we have to turn it around for Saturday, but we now have the home-court advantage.

'We are not worrying about the opposition right now, we have enough to worry about ourselves. We have to get our game right and go into it confident, but we need a win.'
