Super Shelbourne put six past UCD
Friday, 21 July 2006 22:55Shelbourne cruised back to the top of the table with an emphatic seventh league win on the spin as they beat UCD 6-0 at Tolka Park.
UCD were left to rue an early miss as they fell behind on 13 minutes when Bobby Ryan's cross was turned home by Glen Crowe.
Crowe availed of a slip by Alan McNally to set up Jason Byrne for Shels' second goal a minute into the second half.
Ndo put the gloss on the win with a stunning third goal, beating two defenders before firing past Darren Quigley on 54 minutes.
Crowe flicked the ball to put Ollie Cahill through for the fourth on 72 minutes before lobbing Quigley from 35 yards for the fifth, and his fifth in four matches, seven minutes later.
Jason Byrne got his second - his 11th of the season - from a free kick eight minutes from time.
