Dublin in line for shock Celtic move

Veteran striker Dion Dublin has been linked with a shock move to Celtic after being told he can leave Leicester City.

The 36-year-old has recently recovered from an Achilles injury that kept him out of the weekend FA Cup fourth-round clash with Southampton but has now been allowed to leave the Championship strugglers.

Foxes caretaker manager Rob Kelly told the club's website, www.lcfc.co.uk: "I knew that Dion was finishing with the club over the weekend.

"I have only found out a very short time he might be going to Celtic. I wish him good luck if that is where he goes."

Kelly added: "Dion wasn't quite fit to play on Saturday otherwise he would have been part of it.

"Then, over the weekend, I was made aware that Dion maybe leaving the club. I then spoke to Dion and he told me that it was nothing personal and his mind was made up.

"He is a terrific individual and a terrific pro. He is very popular and a very good example for young players."

Dublin joined City on a free transfer from Aston Villa in July 2004 and has made 15 starts for the Foxes this season without scoring.
