Ulster quash Humphreys rumour

The Ulster Branch of the IRFU has denied media reports that David Humpreys could be moving to South Africa for the end of his career.

Newpaper reports in South Africa this morning suggested that The Stormers, the Super 14 team based in Cape Town, were interested in signing Humphreys.

However, the Ulster Branch has confirmed that no Super 14 team has been in contact with them about acquiring Humphrey's services.

The out-half is under contract with the province until June 1 and they are currently in discussions with the player with a view to extending his contract beyond the end of this season.
