WBA worried about Robinson
Tuesday, 27 December 2005 15:46Paul Robinson is a major doubt for West Brom's Barclays Premiership encounter with Tottenham at the Hawthorns.
The full-back was stretchered off with concussion in yesterday's defeat at Manchester United after colliding with team-mate Thomas Gaardsoe and manager Bryan Robson will wait for a medical update before deciding whether to pitch Robinson straight back into the action.
Neil Clement (ankle) and Junichi Inamoto (thigh) are both rated 50-50 after missing the Old Trafford defeat but at least Robson should have Zoltan Gera available again following his hernia operation.
Tottenham boss Martin Jol hopes Ledley King's groin injury is not serious enough to keep him out of tomorrow's game.
Immediate medical reports after the 2-0 win over Birmingham were that King has suffered a 'minor' strain - but a final decision depends on full diagnosis which was due today.
Jol must also decide whether to reinstate Jermain Defoe to the starting XI after the England striker made another forceful case with a goal-scoring appearance off the bench.
Provisional West Brom squad: Kuszczak, Kirkland, Albrechtsen, Gaardsoe, Davies, Clement, Robinson, Greening, Wallwork, Chaplow, Inamoto, Kamara, Kanu, Ellington, Watson, Gera, Kirkland, Earnshaw, Campbell, Horsfield, Carter, Moore.
