Gazza managing non-league outfit

Former England star Paul Gascoigne has been installed as manager of non-league outfit Kettering after his consortium took control of the club.

Gascoigne, who most recently had a coaching spell at Boston, takes over as manager from Kevin Wilson, who becomes director of football. Ex-Arsenal midfielder Paul Davis will become first-team coach.

And Gascoigne has set his sights on taking the Conference North side back into the football league.

"It feels good, I am excited about what is ahead of us. Kevin has done a tremendous job here and now it's a matter of trying to work together and move the team forward. We want to give the supporters something to look forward to and get them in the football league," he told Sky Sports News.

The new management team will be involved in Saturday's home fixture against Droylsden.
