Hearty and Fogarty set to start for Connacht

John Hearty and John Fogarty have been drafted into the Connacht starting line-up for Friday's European Challenge Cup clash with Montpellier at the Stade Sabathe.

Hearty replaces the injured Keith Matthews (groin), who misses his first game of the season having scored five tries in eight games. Hearty will start at outside centre with Darren Yapp moving to number 12.

In the pack, Fogarty replaces Joe Merrigan who moves to the bench at the expense of Chris Venter. Brendan O'Connor has been ruled out with an ankle injury and is replaced on the bench by Andrew Gallagher.

Connacht are brimming with confidence after a 62-17 trouncing of Amatori Catania at the weekend while Montpellier will be looking to bounce back from their 36-18 defeat at Worcester.

Connacht: Matt Mostyn, Ted Robinson, John Hearty, Darren Yapp, Conor McPhillips, Paul Warwick, Chris Keane; Ray Hogan, John Fogarty, Stephen Knoop, Christian Short, Andrew Farley (capt.), John Muldoon, Matt Lacey, Colm Rigney.

Replacements: Joe Merrigan, Dan McFarland, Andrew Gallagher, David Gannon, Michael Swift, Conor O¹Loughlin, Daniel Riordan.
