Possible return for Connacht's Elwood

An injury to Connacht out-half Paul Warwick has opened up the possibility of an unlikely return to action for assistant coach, Eric Elwood.

Connacht take on Munster at the Sportsground next Saturday in their first inter-provincial meeting of the new Celtic League season.

With Mark McHugh out, Connacht's resources are stretched to the limit to cover their only fit number ten, David Slemen.

Elwood retired at the end of last season, playing his last game against Sale Sharks in the European Challenge Cup semi-final.
