Hunt adds to Bolton's injury woes

Bolton full-back Nicky Hunt has been ruled out for six weeks with a hairline fracture in his left leg.

England Under-21 international Hunt suffered the injury to his left fibula in Saturday's 1-0 win over Portsmouth.

Manager Sam Allardyce is concerned about the growing injury list at the Reebok Stadium, with Hunt joining experienced campaigner Ivan Campo in the physio's room as the club prepare for Thursday's UEFA Cup second leg against Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

"I am deeply disappointed for Nicky," Allardyce told his club's website, www.bwfc.com.

"The injury was sustained in the closing minutes of the match, and he could well miss our next five matches.

"The injury situation is a little worrying, and the squad is looking thin in key areas. We'll cope with the situation and should be okay for Thursday's match in Bulgaria."
