Thomond unplayable for 4 weeks

Following the vandalism of Thomond Park yesterday it has emerged that the surface will remain unplayable until October 22nd.

The pitch was given a full inspection today and the exact nature of repairs required will be established. All scheduled games for Thomond Park during this period will be moved to alternative venues.

The IRFU and Munster Branch have expressed their total disbelief at this random act of vandalism and will be ensuring that the Thomond Park pitch will be reopened as soon as possible.
