John Gill unveiled as new Athlone Town boss. 

Athlone Town have unveiled John Gill as their new manager. The appointment is coming into effect immediately.

Gill guided Dublin City to the First Division title in 2003, and has also been assistant manager at Kildare County and Kilkenny City. He takes over the job from caretaker boss Paddy O'Reilly. Previous manager Stephen Kelly resigned on July 5th.

He will be in charge for tonight's game against Dundalk at Golden Island Park.
