Cork City heading to Lithuania
Friday, 24 June 2005 14:07Eircom League leaders Cork City have been paired with FK Ekranas Panevezys of Lithuania in the UEFA Cup first qualifying round at the draw in Nyon, Switzerland, this afternoon.
Double FAI Cup winners Longford Town will meet Camarthen Town of Wales in the same competition.
Northern Ireland's Linfield, who won the all-Ireland Setanta Cup last season, will take on Latvians Ventspils while Portadown tackle Norwegians Viking.
The ties will be played on July 14 and 28 with the second-round draw being made on July 29.
