Jordan head east for launch

Jordan's new Russian-born owner has wasted little time in making good on his promise to bring Formula One to his homeland.

Alex Shnaider, whose Midland Group agreed a takeover of Jordan earlier this week, will launch the team's 2005 car in Moscow on February 25.

The Toyota-powered car will run as a Jordan for this season before a name change to reflect Midland's involvement at the end of the season.

No drivers have been confirmed, although Shnaider is a known admirer of Champ Car race-winner Mario Dominguez and has also promised to encourage young Russian talent.
