Blackburn earn much-needed three points

Blackburn climbed off the bottom of the Premiership, for a few hours at least, and dragged Fulham right into the relegation dogfight with a 2-0 win in today's early kick-off at Craven Cottage.

Rovers were ahead in the 10th minute when Paul Gallacher netted his second goal in as many games, sweeping home Steven Reid's cross at the near post.

Tomasz Radzinski missed a great chance to equaliser soon afterwards, but Fulham paid the penalty when Paul Dickov sealed victory from the spot on 76 minutes.

The spot kick was awarded after Zat Knight had handled, and been sent off for a second caution.
