Preview of Thurles action

A seven race card at Thurles on Thursday can expect to serve up some competitive fare.

The chasing debut of War Of Attrition and the hurdling debut of Sweet Kiln are sure to attract plenty interest while the feature event, the ¤15,000 Thurles Chase, can go to Charlie Swan's Oh Be The Hokey.

Oh Be The Hokey was a smart hurdler before being sent chasing earlier this year. He returned to hurdle action this season, with a few good placed efforts to his name.

The 122 rated 6yo is sure to benefit from those runs and he can prove too strong for Eskimo Jack and Il En Reve.

War Of Attrition, second to Brave Inca in last season's Supreme Novice's Hurdle at Cheltenham, should have little difficulty winning the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners' Chase, on his chase debut.

Mouse Morris' gelding, who fell at the final fence when clear on his only ptp start, should win with an adequate round of jumping.

The amazing James Bowe yard is represented by smart bumper performer, Sweet Kiln, in the Toboradora Maiden Hurdle.

Limestone Lad's close relative will be a short price to succeed on her hurdling debut with regular partner Steven Ryder in the saddle. She should have little difficulty beating main dangers Valley Ger and Central Arch.

Pat Fahy's Chukchi Country is a hopeful choice to win the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase, following an eye-catching recent run at Gowran Park.
