Seven line up for the Killavullan Stakes

The Group 3 Killavullan Stakes is the feature on an eight race all Flat Bank Holiday card, with the action getting underway at 2.00.

There are seven declared for this seven furlong test, and the Aidan O'Brien-trained Footstepsinthesand will be all the rage following an impressive debut win at Naas last weekend.

The son of Giant's Causeway attracted plenty of support on that occasion despite Jamie Spencer partnering a stable-companion, and Ballydoyle's number one jockey is now on board.

The American import Gaff will provide a stern test having taken a Listed event at Fairyhouse on his Irish debut, while the experienced pair Crystal View and Lock And Key add further spice.

The Listed Trigo Stakes is the chief supporting race, and Spencer takes the mount on Bywayofthestars, one of four runners from O'Brien's powerful string.

This filly made an encouraging debut in a Listed race at Naas last Sunday, and can be expected to improve considerably from that outing.
