Curragh action concludes on Saturday

Skybet Race Day will bring the curtain down on another successful Curragh season tomorrow, with competitive racing throughout the eight race programme.

Thirteen fillies will line up for the Listed Gerrardstown House Stud Silken Glider Stakes. These include the Dermot Weld trained Alexander Icequeen, recent Maiden winner Bonita Rock, together with the John Oxx trained pair of Allexina (Fran Berry) and impressive Maiden winner Waldblume (Michael Kinane), while Brioletto will aim to give trainer Aidan O'Brien another big race success.

Recent course and distance winner Jacks Estate heads the weights in the valuable sky.com Joe McGrath Stakes, with Peace Offering and the veteran Tiger Royal his main challengers, while Pat Smullen will team up with One More Round when he faces the starter in the Skyvegas Roulette Channel 295 Race.

Big fields are definitely the order of the day with twenty three lining up for the opening 2yo maiden, twenty one in the Skybet Press Red To Bet Now Maiden, twenty in the Apprentice Handicap, a maximum twenty six in the 10 furlong maiden, while thirteen will challenge in the Skyvegas.com Handicap.
