Trezeguet faces lengthy lay off

Juventus's French international striker David Trezeguet will undergo an operation on his shoulder and faces a lengthy lay off from action, the Serie A club said today.

Trezeguet's dislocated his troublesome left shoulder during a match at Udinese earlier this month and missed Saturday's World Cup clash with Ireland. He had suffered problems with the same shoulder during last season.

Juve already have Trezeguet's strike partner Alessandro Del Piero sidelined with an achilles tendon injury.
