Fenlon confident ahead of Lille match

watch

Shelbourne boss Pat Fenlon is confident of a good performance from his side ahead of Thursday's UEFA Cup clash with Lille OSC.

Speaking to RTÉ News before the squad departed for France, Fenlon said: "Confidence is high. The players are looking forward to going to Lille. We've had two big wins, over St Pat's and Shamrock Rovers, since we played Lille in Lansdowne. Some people think we didn't do ourselves justice in the first leg. We want to put that right."

When asked about a possible 4-4-2 formation for Shels on Thursday, Fenlon said: "There's been a lot of talk about that. We will have a look at it. We may not tinker too much. We'll see what players we have available and see what we'll do."

Shelbourne have departed for France without Joseph Ndo, who remains at home to receive treatment having suffered a reoccurrence of his groin injury in last Friday's win over Shamrock Rovers.

Lille OSC v Shelbourne is live on RTÉ Network Two television from 6.15pm. Kick-off is at 6.30.
