Shels striker ruled out of Lille clash

Shelbourne's UEFA Cup hopes have been dealt a blow with the news that new signing Juan Sara cannot play against Lille.

UEFA have informed Shels that the Argentinian striker was not cleared in time to play against the French side at Lansdowne Road tomorrow evening.

Sara will also not be able to tog out in the return leg in France on 30 September.

Sara had registered with the Drumcondra club by 31 August, but clearance from the Italian FA after the Argentine left Reggiana did not arrive until a few days later.
