Shelbourne to face Lille in UEFA Cup

Shelbourne have drawn French club Lille in the UEFA Cup first round draw.

The Dublin team exited the Champions League qualifiers on Tuesday night when they were beaten 3-0 by Deportivo La Coruna.

The English clubs have avoided the big names in the draw which took place today in Monaco, with Newcastle United to face Israeli opponents Hapoel Bnei Sakhnin.

Millwall will play Hungary's Ferencvaros and Steve McClaren's Middlesbrough are teamed up against Banik Ostrava of the Czech Republic

The Scottish clubs have both been drawn against Portuguese sides. Hearts will play Braga and Glasgow Rangers will face Maritimo.

The first leg ties will be played on September 16 and the second leg ties on September 30.
