Scanlon leaves Harps for Omagh

Eircom League First Division high flyers Finn Harps have confirmed that Trevor Scanlon has left the club to take up a post with Omagh Town as player-coach. Trevor had been with Harps for ten years. He made his debut in a League Cup game against Derry City at Finn Park in August 1994.

In all, Trevor played 192 times for Harps, starting 154 of those games. He scored just two goals during his ten seasons at Finn Park. The first came against Shelbourne in the club's first season in the Premier Division and the other was against Limerick in the First Division two years ago.

Trevor played in all three FAI Cup Final games against Bray Wanderers in 1999. During his time at Finn Park, Trevor picked up an FAI Cup runners-up medal, three First Division runners-up medals, an Irish News Cup winners medal and a First Division Cup winners medal.

Finn Harps have wished Trevor all the best in his new post at Omagh Town FC and have thanked him for his excellent service to the club.
