Cat among entries for Haydock dash

Aidan O' Brien has a team of 10, including One Cool Cat and Antonius Pius, entered for what should be a quality renewal Stanley Leisure Sprint Cup at Haydock Park on September 4.

Both horses, thus far, have failed to live up to expectations with One Cool Cat disappointing in the Newmarket 2000 Guineas and Antionius Pius seventh in the July Cup at Newmarket last week.

Frizzante, Ashdown Express and Balmont - the first three home in the July Cup - could meet again in the £225,000 Haydock feature, which has attracted a total of 53 entries. They include six of the first seven in the Darley-sponsered Newmarket feature.

Last year's Sprint Cup hero Somnus, who finished fifth in the July Cup may bid to repeat his victory. Three of the next four home in the race last September may also return. They are Fayr Jag (fifth)  the winner of this year's Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot - Airwave (third) and Steenberg (fourth).

Two of last season's leading juveniles - Dewhurst Stakes winner Milk It Mick and Coventry Stakes scorer Three Valleys - as well as three entries from France add further spice to the Sprint Cup.
