Law may yet Rule in Budweiser Derby

After pleasing connections on Monday morning, Epsom Derby runner up Rule Of Law may yet run in the Budweiser Derby at the Curragh.

The colt was unable to line up for the King Edward VII Stakes at
Royal Ascot due to a low-grade upper respiratory infection but he has made a quick recovery.

Racing manager Simon Crisford said on the Godolphin website:  "He cantered this morning and has made a speedy recovery from the minor infection that he had last week. He seems very well in himself and as a result we are still considering the Irish Derby for him.

Should connections shell out the ¤95,000 required to supplement the colt for the Budweiser-sponsored showpiece, which they will have to do by noon tomorrow, he will renew rivalry with Epsom hero North Light, who also beat him into second in the Dante Stakes.
