Veron to join Inter Milan

Argentinian international midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron's time at Chelsea looks to be finished after the club agreed a deal that will see him join Inter Milan on loan for next season.

Veron joined Chelsea from Manchester United for £15million in August last year, but has been a disappointment during his time at Stamford Bridge and does not appear to figure in new manager Jose Mourinho's plans.

Chelsea released a statement which read: "Chelsea Football Club today announced they had agreed a loan deal with FC Internazionale for midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron."

The deal sees Veron joining the Milan club for one year from July 1, however, the Blues will be hoping to make the deal permanent.

Veron scored twice in 14 games for Chelsea last season as his first-team chances suffered with the rest of the squad because of Ranieri's rotation system.

Veron had missed three months of the season after returning to his native Argentina for surgery on a back injury.
