Diao added to Liverpool's injury list

Salif Diao is the latest Liverpool player to suffer injury with damaged ankle ligaments set to rule him out of action for three weeks. The Senegalese player suffered the injury on Tuesday at the club's Melwood training ground and will not feature again until January.

The Reds are already without star striker Michael Owen with a thigh injury and Harry Kewell with the same problem as Diao.

Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier said: "There was no-one else involved. He went over on his ankle and we expect he will be missing for three weeks."
