City without Sibierski for Euro opener

New signing, Antoine Sibierski, is the only omission form the Manchester City line-up for their Uefa Cup qualifying round clash with Welsh outfit TNS tomorrow.

The French midfielder was not registered in time to face the minnows and so will sit out the Blues' first European game for a quarter of a century. City boss Keegan is not too upset, however: "It is a bit of blow because it would have been nice to have a look at him but he has only been here ten days or so and there is plenty of time," he said.

Keegan must also decide whether to name transfer-listed playmaker Eyal Berkovic in his starting line-up following the Israeli's outstanding performance in Sunday's friendly win over Barcelona at the brand new City of Manchester Stadium.

The Blues boss does not want to take many chances as he is envisaging a tough game: "They are well organised, they know what they are trying to do and we have treat them with total respect," he told the club's website.

Provisional squad: Seaman, Nash, Ellegaard, Sun, Distin, Sommeil, Tarnat, Dunne, Bischoff, Tiatto, Wright-Phillips, Bosvelt, Horlock, Berkovic, Barton, Anelka, Wanchope, Fowler, Macken.
