Chelsea complete the signing of goalkeeping duo

In what has been an exciting week for the west London club, the formal signing of two new goalkeepers further boosts their squad ahead of the Premiership resumption.

The arrivals of Ambrosio, 30, and Macho, 25, were announced a month ago. Italian Ambrosio joins on a three-year contract after a free transfer from Chievo and Austrian stopper Macho, released by relegated Sunderland, has signed a two-year contract after his move on a free.

The pair replace released Chelsea duo Ed de Goey and Rhys Evans and face a real challenge to unseat established number one Carlo Cudicini.
