Murrayfield, Cochis and Alicia have prospects at Ballinrobe
Monday, 30 June 2003 18:09This late afternoon seven race mixed meeting replaces a fixture lost to the weather at the western track last month, and the action gets underway at 4.30pm. There are three chases on the card, and the two and a half miles beginners race provides Murrayfield a good opportunity to go on better having filled the runner-up spot here behind Goss.
The locally trained Cochis Run may defy topweight in the 2m1f handicap, while Runfar gets the vote in the 2m4f handicap. On the Flat section of the meeting, Dame Alicia merits support in the nine furlongs maiden after finishing third to Uncle Tiny at Limerick.
The opening six furlongs handicap provides punters with a difficult test, and perhaps the Pat Flynn-trained mare Freya can gain reward for her consistency.
