Leading fancies still in Hunt for Ascot glory

All the leading fancies stood their ground at today's five-day stage for Wednesday's Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot. Ante-post favourite Funfair is one of two declarations for trainer Sir Michael Stoute who also has the Queen's Green Line in the race.

However, he has taken Akshar out of the mile contest, for which 67 horses have been confirmed. James Fanshawe has left in Macadamia, who won a Listed event at Pontefract on Monday evening, Alec Stewart's Colisay is also still in the race.

Terry Mills' Norton, who won the race last year could carry joint top weight along with Amanda Perrett's Serieux after Smirk, Demonstrate, With Reason, Pablo, One More Round and Avorado, who were all above them in the weights, were taken out of the race.
