Holland hoping for a commanding run at Royal Ascot

Darryll Holland has been snapped up by Newmarket trainer Clive Brittain for next week's leading Royal Hunt Cup hope Camp Commander.

The four-year-old has already proved himself well suited to Ascot's straight course, having landed this season's Sony Victoria Cup before finishing a running-on third at York behind Hunt Cup favourite Funfair.

I talked through the race with my agent and we both really wanted to try and get the ride on Camp Commander so we're delighted it has come off, said Holland today.

Camp Commander is proven at Ascot, is proven in big handicaps and is trained by a man in great form so he has ticks in all the right boxes. Now all we need is a good draw and some luck on the day.
