Hammond signs new Fulham deal

23-year-old Fulham striker Elvis Hammond has signed a new two-year contract. Hammond graduated through Fulham's youth scheme, making his Premiership debut in December last year, and has been rewarded for his progression with a new deal.

Hammond told the club's official website, www.fulhamfc.co.uk: "I am reallyhappy to have signed with Fulham for a further two years. I enjoyed my time in the academy and was obviously thrilled to be given a professional contract, and then to play in the Premiership towards the end of last season was a real bonus."

Hammond featured regularly for Fulham towards the end of last season and new full-time manager Chris Coleman showed his faith in the youngster by handing him his first top-flight start against Leeds last month.
