McCoy aiming to return within 2 weeks

Tony McCoy aims to be back in the saddle inside two weeks after breaking his left collarbone at Cheltenham on Thursday.

The champion jockey sustained the injury in a fall from Golden Alpha at the third last fence in the Grand Annual Challenge Cup. He was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital for X-rays and later discharged.

McCoy had only returned to race-riding last week after spending eight days on the sidelines with a left shoulder injury following a fall at Kempton.

But he should be back in time for the Martell Cognac Grand National meeting at Aintree in three weeks' time.
