Room for improvement at Jordan

Jordan are confident they can iron out problems with the Jordan Ford EJ13 car after testing in Barcelona identified some unusual problems. Gary Anderson, the team's director of race and test engineering, has already set about updating the new car after its test session in Spain. Even the car's rear wing breaking off the EJ13 did not cause Anderson too much concern.

"The rear beam wing broke when it was highly loaded on the main straight," said Anderson. "This was caused by a combination of things. What we do know is that it is a stronger component than we used last year and we are doing some modifications, which will increase the strength, new components will be completely revised. This is what building a brand new car is like and as you try things out it's not unusual that some of them don't work."
