Amoruso keen to stay with Rangers

Rangers defender Lorenzo Amoruso has signalled his intent to sign a new contract with the Glasgow club and to commit himself to the Ibrox outfit for the rest of his career.

'I'm really happy at Rangers and have no desire to leave whatsoever. To be honest, I expected a lot of speculation around the Christmas period because the transfer window is just coming up,' Amoruso told the club's website, www.rangers.co.uk.

'It's unbelievable the way football works sometimes, but my intention has always been to stay here at Ibrox. I have another 18 months of my contract and at that stage I will be 33, but if my body is good then I would like to sign another contract with the club,' the defender added.
