Manchester derby return for Rio

Rio Ferdinand is expected to back in action for the Manchester derby at Maine Road on November 9th.

The Manchester United and England defender had keyhole surgery on his right knee yesterday and a small piece of damaged cartilage removed. Ferdinand's injury is very similar to the one sustained by Paul Scholes and United expect him to be back in action in three to four weeks' time.
