Weld runners arrive safely in Australia

Dermot Weld`s Vinnie Roe and Media Puzzle arrived safely in Australia on Tuesday morning in preparation for the Melbourne Cup on November 5. The trip took 28 hours from Dublin with stopovers in Copenhagen and Sharjah and a change of aircraft in Singapore. They are the first European-trained horses to arrive in Melbourne for the race.

Vinnie Roe is 7-1 joint-favourite for the Cup while Media Puzzle needs a re-handicap to lift him up the ballot order to be certain of a start at Flemington.
