Russia name squad to face Ireland

Russia head coach Valery Gazzayev has announced his squad to play Ireland in the European Championship qualifying match in Moscow on September 7th. Included in the squad is CSKA Moscow striker Denis Popov, Spartak Moscow striker Vladimir Beshastnykh and Real Sociedad midfielder Dmitry Khohlov.

Russia squad to face Ireland in Moscow:

Goalkeepers:

Sergei Ovchinnikov, Ruslan Nignatullin.

Defenders:

Sergei Ignashevich, Gennady Nizhegorodov, Vyacheslav Dayev, Denis Yevsikov, Yury Kovtun, Viktor Onopko.

Midfielders:

Alexei Smertin, Igor Yanovsky, Rolan Gusev, Andrei Solomatin, Sergei Semak, Dmitry Loskov, Dmitry Khohlov, Andrei Karyaka, Andrei Arshavin, Igor Semshov, Yevgeny Aldonin, Denis Laktionov.

Strikers:

Ruslan Pimenov, Alexander Kerzhakov, Denis Popov, Vladimir Beschastnykh.
