Royal target for Dubai Destination

Dubai Destination is set to sidestep Saturday's Vodafone Derby in favour of at tilt at Royal Ascot. Godolphin's racing manager Simon Crisford today confirmed that the son of Kingmambo is likely to drop back in trip on his next outing despite being left in the Epsom showpiece at the five-day declaration stage yesterday.

Crisford explained: 'Sheikh Mohammed was keen to keep him in the race to see how it worked out. There's no final decision yet but I would say it is most unlikely he will turn up at Epsom. We will have to see what it looks like closer to the time but it is more likely he will run at Royal Ascot in the St James Palace Stakes.
