All National Hunt card at Fairyhouse

An all-National Hunt card is on offer at Fairyhouse on Wednesday, with the first of seven races at the Meath venue away at 2.30pm. The two mile four furling novice hurdle is the feature event of the afternoon, and affords Pat Hughes' consistent Rule Supreme a good opportunity to resume winning ways.

Winner of a maiden at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting, the six-year-old has since run well in chasing home useful sorts One Night Out and Davenport Milenium. Today's opposition doesn't appear to contain anything of that calibre, and a reproduction of either effort should suffice.

The Little Lad shaped well enough when fourth at the Easter festival to earn him the vote in the three mile handicap hurdle, Christy Roche's charge possibly having most to fear from Digyourheelsin. Enda Bolger looks certain to land a hunter chase that has little in the way of strength in depth, with Wap narrowly preferred to stable-mate Eoins Pride.
