Former rally champion killed in accident

Frank Meagher, National Rally Champion in 1995, was killed when his car hit a tree in a test drive in Anner Forest Drive, near his home in Fethard yesterday. Meagher was married with four childern.

Meagher was the second Irish sportsman killed in an accident yesterday. Earlier in the day, 23-year-old Roscommon footballer, Ger Michael Grogan was killed when a truck in which he was a passenger, went through a wall.
